Carlton Palmore Elementary is committed to meeting the individual needs of each child, developing responsible citizens, and challenging students to learn, think and perform at their highest level.

The computer lab is known as a "special" in the curriculum; which means that each class attends a weekly 30 minute session to work on Odyssey. Odyssey was implemented in 2007 to replace Compass (Odyssey is a part of CompassLearning products). Each year the county comes up with a theme for the Directed Implementation Plan. The 2008 theme is "Kickoff for Success".
The lab will be decorated with different sports pictures and jersey's and hopefully photos of teachers when they played in school. School-wide goals with an incentive package has been designed to help stimulate the students to really work hard when they come into the lab and earn passing grades on each lesson.

Since the implementation of the Odyssey software county-wide and the directed implementation plan, we at Carlton Palmore Elementary have embraced the opportunity to challenge our students.
