Project Graduation
RE: Class of 2010
Update: 1/27/2010
There will be a Parent Meeting on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in the cafeteria at 6 p.m. All Seniors and parents that want to help with Project Graduation are invited to attend.
Project Graduation
The project graduation tradition began in Maine in 1990 in response to the tragic loss of 18 teens due to alcohol/drug related crashes while celebrating graduation. Lake Gibson has adapted the tradition of an all-night alcohol/drug-free celebration and we will continue it this year.
Our kids will once again be going on a cruise aboard the Starship Dinner Cruise. We will need committees for fundraisers, donations, and entertainment, so if any of these interests you please let us know at the numbers or email address below.
Some fundraisers already suggested that have been successful in the past:
Garage Sale in March
A Middle School dance for LGMS sometime in April Working at local
restaurants for part of the proceeds
Please join us on Thursday January 21, 2010 at 6pm in the cafeteria for our kick-off meeting for the Class of 2010’s project graduation. We are getting a late start and have a lot of work to do, so all your help is appreciated. If you can not join us on Thursday but would like to help please contact Sheri Post at #581-1400 or #853-7004 after 5pm. You can also email her at rpost29@tampabay.rr.com.
