- The Abraham Lincoln Fellowship was awarded to teacher Michelle Hubenschmidt. She will join teachers from across the country in Springfield, Ill., to study the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln.

Karla Wean, art teacher, was named a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholar. She will travel to Japan in June for a professional development opportunity that will be financed by the government of Japan. Wean has incorporated Japanese art into her instruction and the trip will increase her knowledge and bring more cross-cultural experience.
