College Planning: The Student's Role

For the Class of 2010, graduation from high school and admission to college is closer than you think! With the increasing cost of post-secondary education, it is VITAL that you secure scholarships and begin thinking about your future. To help with planning, check out these websites.

FAMU Educational Fair on Friday, Nov.20,2009 - 10:00AM, Hilton Bonnet Creek. Seniors meet with counselors, Presidential Ambassadors, Student Government leaders. Scholarships will be available. Lunch is provided

West Point Reception - See Flyer!

First generation (first in your family to attend college) students who are interested in admission to USF should plan to attend 2 Access USF sessions. These sessions will be held on Nov. 7 and Dec. 5 and will cover the Admissions process, Financial Aid, and Summer Admissions. Check out this website for more information.

The annual HBCU Jump Off...Jan 9, 2010 at the Coleman Bush Building in Lakeland will begin promptly at 8:00AM. This seminar is for students who are interested in attending either FAMU, Bethune Cookman College, Florida Memorial College or Edward Waters College.

Honor students from families with an annual income of less than $60,000 who are interested in attending Harvard University should review the information on their website.

Seniors interested in a bridge program between Florida Southern College and the USF Medical School should see Ms. Estridge in the Guidance Office.
