Hello! Welcome to the Alta Vista Media Center! Our first priority will be to help students and teachers in any way we can to promote literature and lifelong learning. Students come to the Media Center with their class once a week. K-2 students may check out two books per week. Grades 3-5 may check out three books. Students may come to the Media Center at other times with permission from their teacher. Parents are welcome to our Media Center at any time during the school day. We have many online resources available for our students and staff. Please check with the Media Center for the login information.
Accelerated Reader Quizzes
We
are very excited about the new Accelerated Reader program called Enterprise
that allows us to access virtually every test that is published by the
company. This program is now online, but access can only be obtained when
the students are at school. Online access will be available on computers in
the Media Center, in the classrooms, and in all computer labs. This will
give students far more opportunity to participate in the Accelerated Reader
program, and we will be doing a great deal this year to promote the use of
this valuable teaching program.
