My name is Jennifer Cervantes and this is my 3rd year at Berkley as an ESE
(Exceptional Student Education) teacher. Prior to working at Berkley I
graduated from USF with a bachelors degree in behavior disorders and specific
learning disabilities. I then taught for 4 years in Hillsborough county at
the elementary level. I spent 2 years teaching an SED (Severely
Emotionally Disturbed) class and the other 2 years I taught a developmentally
delayed pre-k class.
Since Berkley is
full inclusion all of my work with the students is done within their general
education classroom. The homeroom teacher and I work collaboratively to
ensure that all students receive an appropriate education.
