Physical Education (P.E.)
1. Pupils should be appropriately dressed for the types of activities conducted in the P.E. class. (Tennis shoes are preferred and shorts for girls with dresses or skirts.) 2. The whistle means to stop, look, and listen for instruction. 3. No talking while the teacher is instructing the class. Raise hand to speak. 4. Do not bring unnecessary items to Physical Education class. 5. If a child is not to participate in physical education, please send a written excuse. (If for an extended time, a doctor's note is required.) 6. Keep hands, feet, and objects to self. 7. Use the equipment in the manner in which it was intended to be used. 8. Children are expected to stay in assigned area. 9. Children are expected to try each task. 10. Children are expected to exhibit the highest level of sportsmanship at all times. When a child chooses to break any of the physical education guidelines, the infraction will be recorded and any one or more of the following may occur: 1. verbal warning 2. time out--child is removed from activity 3. note or phone call to parent 4. office referral 1. P.E. Awards 2. Stickers 3. Good behavior notes to parents 4. Choice of pre-planned activities
