Review
Relooking at information and skills with an eye toward solidifying information, ordering the information, identifying relevant and irrelevant information, clarifying what still needs to be learned, and developing questions.
Discovery
Examining a set of conditions or factors, and developing connections or conclusions which can be substantiated.
Application
Use of practiced, reviewed, and learned information in a format which connects several types of information and skills. It may be a long-term project and require a planned sequence of steps.
Problem Solving
Using information in a creative and flexible manner through which a solution to a problem emerges.
Creative
Permits students to use their own unique talents and ideas to express themselves.

Teachers, students, and parents are critical players in homework success. You can help by reviewing your role and responsibilities in this partnership.
Teachers must provide:
- meaningful homework assignments
- clearly communicated assignments
- homework appropriate to the students’ skills
Students must have:
- clear knowledge of homework assignments
- sufficient preparation to succeed
- the skills needed to complete the homework
Parents must have:
- homework support and structure at home
- clear, realistic homework expectations
- knowledge of the teacher’s expectations
