Title I
CLMS is a Title I school this year.
2008-2009 School Improvement Plan (SIP)
Title I consists of the following components:
- A comprehensive needs assessment of the entire school
- Reform strategies that provide opportunities for student academic achievement
- Instruction by highly qualified teachers
- Ongoing professional development for all school staff
- Strategies to attract high-quality, highly qualified teachers to high-need schools
- Strategies to increase parental involvement
- Plans for assisting preschool children in the transition from early childhood programs
- Measures to include teachers in decisions regarding the use of academic assessments
- Effective and timely additional assistance for students who experience difficulty mastering the academic achievement standards
- Coordination and integration of Federal, State and local services and programs
Title I asks you as a parent to:
- Attend Open House
- Attend at least one parent/teacher conference per year
- Read, sign, and abide by the teacher/parent/student compact
