Things are booming in 4th grade as we journey through our year, preparing for 5th grade. Our great 4th graders are polishing up their writing skills in preparation for the FCAT writing assessment! They are learning how to add elaborations to their details and writing in response to expository and narrative prompts. Math is adding up to big numbers as we've just finished our unit on Addition and Subtraction. We're now venturing into multiplication to make our numbers even larger! Science is full of great sounds and Energy as we learn where sounds come from and how we hear them! We also believe that Reading is the foundation for all learning. We're learning about Narrative Elements and Author's Purpose. Even our great student are becoming young author's as well as they begin to make connections between Reading and Writing!
