Welcome to the Dixieland Elementary School website! The entire staff at Dixieland Elementary School is committed to high achievement for every student. I encourage all parents to participate in your child’s education. Dixieland is an exceptional school based on teamwork between staff, parents, and community. It is my personal goal to ensure the highest level of education for every child. There are many ways for parents to partner with the school. Joining the PTA or School Advisory Council (SAC), and volunteering our excellent ways to partner with the school. My door is always open to parents and I welcome suggestions to make Dixieland the best school possible.

Assistant Principal: Mrs. Mary Dwight

Mrs. Dwight has been in education for over 30 years. She began as a Title I Math paraprofessional. While working in this area she completed studies in the field of elementary education and graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree from Florida Southern College in 1979. She has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Mrs. Dwight's experiences include 26 years in the classroom teaching grades K-4, 2 years as a Reading Coach, and presently 3 years as an Assistant Principal. She is married and has 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren.

Mrs. Dwight says

"To teach children is what I have been called to do. I have a love and passion for this profession. I want all children to feel that they can set goals and be successful. I believe school should be a place where people care enough never to give up on children."
