Kristin NeSmith is in her third year
as Associate Director of Bands at Lakeland High School. Originally from South
Florida, Ms. NeSmith graduated cum laude in Spring 2004 from the School of Music at the
Florida State University. While a student at Florida State, Ms. NeSmith performed in
various concert bands and small ensembles, as well as Chiefly Brass and the Marching
Chiefs. She is also an alumni member of the Alpha Omega chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, a
national honorary band sorority.
Ms. NeSmith is an active member of the Florida Bandmasters Association,
Florida Music Educators Association, and MENC: The National Association for Music
Education.
