Brad Wharton currently serves as Director of Bands at Lakeland High School.
Prior to his appointment at LHS, Mr. Wharton taught for 7 years at Sleepy Hill Middle
School and for 1 1/2 years at Lake Alfred Middle School. During his time at Sleepy
Hill Middle school, Mr. Wharon's bands consistently received superior ratings at the FBA
District Music Performance Assessments for jazz and concert bands.
Mr. Wharton is a graduate of
Florida State University, where he was drum major of the Marching Chiefs in 1994 and 1996.
He is an active member of the Florida Bandmasters Association, National Band
Association, Florida Music Educators Association and Music Educators National Conference.
