Davenport School of the Arts is a choice school featuring strong academics with a focus on visual and performing arts. We support technology in the classroom. Many objectives in our curriculum are achieved by utilizing computers, the school network, and the Internet. 

 

Dress Code:

At Davenport School of the Arts, we:

  1. want to create a child centered learning environment that infuses the arts into the academic curriculum.

  2. want your child to be excited about school and the opportunities he/she will have for self-expression through dance, drama, visual arts, and music.

  3. believe your child will be excited about our uniform as we have tried to provide one that is different, yet appealing and colorful.

All Elementary students shirts must be either purple or gold with the DSA logo. Shirts MUST be tucked in at all times. Shirts can be purchased at Main Office.

All Middle School students shirts must be black, blue, or gray with DSA logo.  Shirts MUST be tucked in at all times. Shirts can be purchased at Main Office.

All uniform bottoms (pants, shorts, skorts, jumpers, etc.) must be khaki, without patterns, cargo pockets, or decorations and can be purchased at any local retailers School Uniform Department.

 

 No Cargo Pocket Pants, Embroidery, Attachments, or

 

 Patterns

The belt is a part of the uniform. Available at most retail clothing stores

Plain Tennis shoes only, suitable for physical education. No Boots or Bead work Please.

Purple, gold, or white socks are part of the Elementary uniform and can be purchased from local area stores.

Black, White, or Grey socks are part of the Middle School uniform and can be purchased from local area stores.

White turtleneck shirts may be worn under the collared uniform shirt.

Sweatshirts and jackets with the DSA logo can be purchased to use as outer garments during cold weather. These are the only acceptable items for outer garments. Please order early through the Main Office.
