Bullying

The American Medical Association has determined that bullying is a public health issue with short and long term consequences for everyone involved. Bullying or harassing behavior is not tolerated at Fort Meade Middle Senior High School. Click here to access the District website for the most current information, resources, and reporting procedures.

Volunteers

Volunteers are an important part of our school family. To maintain security on our campus, new volunteers must undergo a Florida Department of Law Enforcement background check at a cost of $25. This is a one time tax-deductible fee for prospective volunteers. If you were approved at another school, you will be on the list and we can add you to our school's list.

If you are unsure of your approval status, check with our volunteer coordinator in the school office. Click here to obtain an application.  Return application to the office with a cashier’s check or money order payable for $25 to Polk County School Board.

New Check Writing Procedures with CHECKredi

New policies are now in place for writing checks to any Polk County school. Your checks are still welcome; please click on the link for CHECKredi to learn about the new policies.

Counterfeit Money

In an effort to reduce the circulation of counterfeit U.S. monies, the school district will no longer accept any $50 or $100 bills at any school-sponsored events. We apologize for any inconvenience, but ask that you support this initiative. Please plan accordingly when you attend our events. Thank you.
