The Frostproof Middle Senior High School Media Center collection serves the diverse student     population of the two schools in one.

It is a developing collection of over 10,000 titles, print and non-print, 40 periodical titles, and 3 newspaper subscriptions. 

Internet access is available as well as several On-line databases: Gale, EBSCO NetTrekker, ABC Clio, Proquest, Bridges and World Book.
Each computer has the  Microsoft Office Suite 2007 installed which includes word processing.

The growing professional library is for use by teachers and parents as we work together to educate the children of our.

Passes
Students who come to the library must have a specific library-related   purpose with a completed media center pass.

Card Catalog
The electronic card    catalog is available online and can be searched by title, author, subject or keyword.
In the media center open Internet Explorer.  The FMSHS media center web page will load and click on the link “Destiny”

Circulation Procedures

++ HS Students may check out up to 4 books at a time, MS, 2 books, for a period of 15 days.  Books may be renewed.

++Any books not renewed by the date due will be charged a fine of 10 cents per day, per book, to a maximum fine of $5.00 each.

++Overdue notices will be sent out on the 1st and the 15th of each month.

++Students will not be allowed to check out books if they owe fines or overdue books. 

++Students are responsible for the books they check out.  They will be charged a replacement cost for lost materials.  Fines and charges will accrue from year to year.

Computer Use

All students are granted “network approval” to use campus computers unless parent/guardian states otherwise.

Computers are used for academic purposes only. NO GAMES, DOWNLOADING, OR INAPPROPRIATE SITES.

Magazines

Magazines may be checked out overnight. A fine of 25 cents will be charged for overdue magazines. 

Photocopies/Computer Copies

Black and white copies are 10 cents each. Color prints are $1.00 each. No credit will be given.
