We strongly encourage our students at GSE to read every chance they get. We have various incentives that we use to help make reading fun and enjoyable. This has yielded many good results. Most of the students can't wait to check out their new books!
Accelerated Reader Quizzes
Accelerated
Reader is a program that helps us track a students reading
progress. They will take an AR test at the start of school, after the Winter
Holidays, and at the end of school. The results of the test tell us what
level the student is reading at. Then, the student will take a test on each
book they read. Most students see considerable growth by the end of the
year.
