what 3rd graders are learning.
I attended The University of South Florida where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I have my certification in grades 1-6 and ESOL, and I also have the Polk County School Board Technology Certification. I have taught third grade for seven years, and the 2008-2009 school year I am co-teaching third grade with Mrs. Weingarth. I am a wife, sister, daughter, and friend. I am also a mother to my two children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, music, going shopping, and going to the beach with my family. I enjoy working with children and believe that every child can succeed. My next professional goal is to obtain my National Board Certification.
My name is Justine Gray and this is my 14th year of teaching. I have been 8 years at Kathleen with this being my 5th year in third grade which I love! I graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from PBU in Philadelphia, PA. I’m looking forward to earning my National Board Certification. My hobbies are reading, shopping, and dogs. My husband and I currently reside in Lakeland with my toy poodle Gracie.
I am excited to be here at Kathleen Elementary where it will be my fourth year of teaching. I graduated from Lesley University located in Cambridge, MA with a Masters in Elementary Education. Prior to my masters, I received my Bachelors degree at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. After completing my Masters Degree program, I relocated here to Florida and have enjoyed experiencing a new place. Although I am fairly new to teaching, I have spent a great deal of time in classrooms and educational programs serving children and families for a number of years. I enjoy teaching and impacting our students’ lives and have been in turn greatly inspired by all the children that I have had the great pleasure of working with. I believe that everyone has something to offer this world and that our children enter our classrooms loaded with treasures of knowledge already in them just waiting to be nurtured. I look forward to another wonderfully challenging and successful year. Ms. Smith
