Toys for Tots
Special Olympics Club is sponsoring the KHS Collection Site for Toys for Toys. Please donate a new, unwrapped toy. Collection boxes are located in the front office and 9th grade office. Thank you in advance for your support.
Canned Food Drive - Sponsored by World Languages
Please consider bringing in canned goods for the World Languages Translation Club. The club is collecting canned food for needy migrant families through December 17, 2013. You can deliver the canned food to any foreign language teacher: Mrs. Weiss, Mr. Haley, Mr. Castrillon, Ms. Ramirez or Mrs. Gonzalez (CFAA). The food will be delivered to the families on December 20, 2013. Students enrolled in a Foreign Language club can earn extra credit points for their participation.

FCA Love From the Hearth
FCA Club members are collecting items for the Hearth Program of Polk County. Hearth assist PCSB students labeled as homeless. Please help us by collecting and donating any of the following items: hygiene items, gift cards, gas cards and school supplies. Drop off items to Coach Troutman in the 9th grade office and/or to any FCA meeting on Thursday mornings in the ISS room (6:45 - 7:00). We thank you in advance for your contributions.
Birthday Wishes from Key Club
Get your Birthday Wish Package from Key Club to be delivered to a person of your choice on their special day. Packages range in price from $3.00-$10.00. You may also bring outside items to be delivered by Key Club. Please see Mrs. Horn in Room 03-004 for more information.

MGM Studio and Island of Adventure. All you can eat meal and transportation is part of the package. Ms. Lewis (9th Grade Office) is now collecting money for Grad Bash (April 26, 2014) $100. Tickets will not be sold after December 20.

Yearbook Shout Outs
Yearbook staffers will be selling "Shout outs!" during lunches on Wednesdays. What is a Shout out! A shout out gives you a space in the yearbook to put a short message to a friend, family member, or even your future self! Social media is temporary, but yearbooks are forever! Shout Outs are $2.00. Deadline: Friday, November 22, 2013.

Senior Dues are ($50). Dues cover senior breakfast, chemical free party, senior t-shirt and graduation costs. If dues are not paid, you will not be allowed to participate in senior activities and you will be placed on the obligation list.

The Kathleen Spark is sent every Friday and lists the daily lunch menu choices, sports games, academic news, testing schedules, college information, and events happening the following week. The 2013-2014 Trident Yearbook is on sale. Yearbook prices will continue to rise as we get closer to the end of the year! Students can purchase for an early price of $80.00. Yearbook prices will increase in January. Yearbooks can also be purchased at www.yearbookordercenter.com; order #1134. Please contact Amanda Lavery for more information.
Our KHS Media Center is open from 6:40 a.m. until first bell for Study Hall. This is open to any student looking for a quiet place to study, read, or complete assignments.
First Time Driver Traffic School
All first time drivers in the State of Florida are required to take the
Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness (DATA) course before applying for their
license. With the DATA Course and Learners Permit Exam you will have access
to complete your DHSMV required course and learner's permit license exam
This course is required for all first-time drivers before applying for a license. A portion of the registration fee is donated to Kathleen High School!
