On behalf of Superintendent Kathryn LeRoy, we are pleased to announce that in collaboration with the Polk Education Association (PEA), the following dates have been chosen as the five Student Early Dismissal days for school year 2014-2015:
· Wednesday, September 10, 2014
· Wednesday, November 19, 2014
· Wednesday, February 18, 2015
· Wednesday, March 25, 2015
· Wednesday, June 4, 2015
Please note the major change from the school year 2013-2014 where students will be dismissed 150 minutes earlier on each of the five Early Dismissal Days. The change in the number and length of Early Dismissal Days is as a result of the District reaching a successful tentative agreement with the PEA, to allow teachers to have additional planning time.
