MANDATORY DRESS CODE FOR 2012-2013

School ID’s (must be worn at all times) on lanyards (provided by school)
Shirts tucked in at all times
Pants with belt loops shall be worn with a belt that is properly fastened.  Pants and shorts shall be worn so that the waistband is worn at the waist and not below the waist.
Shorts/skirts/dresses are to be worn at the knee.
Shorts and jeans – no holes or frays.
No clothing that exposes body parts and/or underwear.
No clothing associated with gangs, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or violence.     
No tights, spandex, yoga pants, mesh shirts, sleepwear, or bedroom slippers.
All shirts must have sleeves and not expose shoulders.
No hats on campus (LG or any other kind)

Any student who violates the above dress code policy is subject to the following disciplinary actions:

  1. If the violation is correctable the student will be sent to the Learning Center for the entire period. *
  2. If the violation is not correctable the student will remain in the Learning Center until parent brings in acceptable attire.*

*5th Violation will result in a phone call and/or email home and further discipline action.
VOLUNTARY DRESS CODE FOR 2012-13
All of the above items and the following:
Monday – Lake Gibson T-shirt day
Wednesday – Club/Athletic Day                                              
Friday - Lake Gibson Spirit Day
The voluntary dress code will be on a reward system per 9 week grading period:
9 points – free slushie
18 points – early release for lunch
27 points – free slushie and early release for lunch
