LHMS PTSO

The Lakeland Highlands Middle School PTSO (Parent, Teacher, and Student Organization) works to support the efforts and education of the teachers, students, and administration of LHMS.  Please consider the importance of your support to this organization.

The objectives of PTSO are:

1.  To promote the welfare of youth in the school and community.

2.  To Secure adequate laws for the care and protection of youth.

3.  To bring home and school into closer relation, that parents and teacher may cooperate in the training of the student.

4.  To develop united efforts between educators and the general public to secure for every student the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.

LHMS Volunteers

PTSO would like any interested families to be school volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering at LHMS you must fill out a volunteer form and then it will be sent to the county for approval.  The form is available in the school office.  

If you are an approved Polk County volunteer at LHMS (VIP) we should have you on file.  If you are not sure if you are on the approval list you can contact our PTSO Membership chairman, Shelly Dupont, at PTSO1771@polk-fl.net.

If you were an approved volunteer at another school you must update the list to include LHMS.  You may either fill out a form in the school office or fill out the form on the "Volunteer Update Card" link. Volunteer Update Card.  The form must then be returned to the school office or mailed to:

LHMS 2008-2009 T-Shirt Sale

LHMS PTSO will be hosting their annual T-Shirt Sale during the week of August 11, 2008.  Below you will find a list of dates and times to come by the school and get your T-Shirts early. 

August 12 and 13, 2008        5:00pm-7:00pm

August 14, 2008                   9:00am-12:00pm

T-Shirts are $10 and sizes from youth SMALL to adult XXL are available.
