Philip O'Brien Elementary School, formerly Lime Street Elementary School, was founded in 1954 and is located on 16 beautifully landscaped acres in the heart of Lakeland.  It opened in August of 1955 as a neighborhood school and continues that "neighborly" environment, which provides and encourages a variety of opportunities for parental and community involvement.

Philip O'Brien Elementary serves approximately 650 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.  Philip O'Brien Elementary's learning community demonstrates that parents and teachers work together for the success of its students.
