Students in grades three, four, and five will participate in FCAT Assessments starting April 14. Superintendent LeRoy also sent a Blackboard Connect message and has posted a video on the school district's Web site (www.polk-fl.net). If you have any questions regarding FCAT Assessments, please call Mr. Huntley at 499-2992. All students need to be at school and on time each day during testing. April is Administrative Professionals Appreciation Month
Each month, we recognize a different group of people that impact our school in a positive way. For the month of April, we recognize our awesome administrative professionals. Our administrative professionals assist in a multitude of ways. Each day, Mrs. Toward assists in placing substitutes in positions, provides parents with important information, and ensures that the school's facilities are properly maintained. Ms. Martin assists parents enrolling new students, delivers medication in the clinic in the absence of the nurse, and works to ensure students receive busing as soon as possible. Mrs. Drawdy assists all Headstart families with paperwork, provides community based resources, and assists the teachers in the classrooms. Our administrative professionals are valued members of the Oscar J. Pope Elementary family!
