Home of the Lions
Our Mission:
The mission of Philip O’Brien Elementary School is to ensure that all learners are provided the tools necessary to realize their highest level of academic excellence through a high-quality education; and provide a learning environment that will maximize the potential for student success.
A Lion’s Pride
With pride, you have strength you never thought of.
With pride, you can do things you thought you couldn’t do.
With pride, you have no limitations.
For pride does not think you can’t – pride thinks you can.
News and Information
New Name, Same Tradition
In April 2008, the Polk County School Board voted unanimously to change our name from Lime Street Elementary to Philip O’Brien Elementary in honor of the faithful and dedicated service of Mr. Philip O’Brien, our principal for over 25 years. Even though we have a new name, we continue to carry on the same tradition of student excellence on our campus.
