School Rules

Rules to help keep our school a SAFE School Zone

Polk Life and Learning staff are well trained in crisis prevention and work well together in a team atmosphere. Our goal is to help our students become more able to make good decisions and becomd responsible citizens of our school, home and community.

Class Room Rules

1. Use kind, polite words and actions.
2. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
3. Be prepared.
4. Remain on task.
5. Negotiate and solve problems peacefully.

Leopards Lair Cafeteria Rules

1. Follow Instructions.
2. Be neat while you eat.
3. Talk quietly and use your 6" voice.
4. Clean up your area and throw away your trash.

Restroom Rules

1. Must have permission to use restroom.
2. Give others privacy.
3. Use facilities and materials properly.
4. Use time efficiently.

Rules for Specials (PE, Music, and Vocational Classes)

1. Enter area prepared to work on assignment.
2. Walk quietly to area and wait for directions from adult.
3. Treat each other respectfully.
4. Safety first.

Hallway Rules - "W.A.L.K."

1. Walk quietly to the right of the walkway.
2. Allow for personal space.
3. Look forward.
4. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.

Bus Rules

1. Be Respectful.
• Use kind, polite words, and actions.
• Listen and follow directions.
2. Be Responsible.
• Keep floor and seat clean and undamaged.
• Get on and off your bus at your assigned stop
3. Be Safe.
• Keep hands, feet, and objects to self and inside the bus.
• Remain seated on the bus.
• Walk on and off the bus.
