RBW School Advisory Council

Purpose
School Advisory Councils (SACs) were created by the Florida Legislature to assure continuous progress of Florida's education goals in each school.  The purpose of the council is to work collaboratively with the principal and staff to develop, monitor and evaluate results of the School Improvement Plan.  The SAC shall assist in preparing the school's annual budget, as well as Lottery and Technology funds budgets.  The SAC must operate within the policies of the School Board and the parameters established by the state legislature.

Membership
Council membership reflects the ethnic, racial and economic community served by the school.  A majority of the members of each SAC must be persons who are not employed by the school.  Teachers, support staff and parents are elected to the Council.  Community members are appointed by the principal.

Meetings are held monthly, or as needed to fulfill the duties of the SAC.
