About R. Bruce Wagner Elementary

Built on 25 beautiful acres, ground was first broken for R. Bruce Wagner Elementary in July 2001.  We first opened our doors to students on August 7, 2002 and have since grown into a dedicated school focused on the sciences of communication: thinking, listening and speaking, reading, and writing. 

Our school is named after the former Area Assistant Superintendent for the Lakeland schools.  Mr. Wagner served the boys and girls of Lakeland for 38 years.  He and his wife, Anne, still live in Lakeland.
