Tenoroc PEARLS
We would like to introduce you to the Pretty Elegant Achievers Reaching higher Levels of Success Mentoring Program here at Tenoroc High School. P.E.A.R.L.S. is a dynamic program providing guidance to young ladies as they journey to womanhood. The goal of our program is to enable young ladies to become self directed in effecting positive behavioral change within both their lives and communities by providing opportunities to improve their self-image, interpersonal skills, self-discipline, academic success skills and forward thinking.
The P.E.A.R.L.S. Mentoring Program focuses on the holistic development of its mentees. Our foci include Self-Care, Personal Relationships, Community Interactions, Financial Planning, Forward Thinking, Academic Success, College Preparation, Male-Female Interactions and Self-Affirmations. Through P.E.A.R.L.S., young ladies have an opportunity not only to discuss the issues that impact them but also are inspired to learn from the wisdom of the committed and successful women who mentor with the program.
In addition to weekly interactive modules coordinated by our mentors, P.E.A.R.L.S. incorporates activities such as a formal dinner, leadership retreat, a multi-college tour, and community service to ensure access to hands-on applications of our modules. Also, in collaboration with the R.I.S.K. Club of Tenoroc High School, P.E.A.R.L.S. mentees have opportunities to learn about the world outside of their communities through a variety of programs and activities aimed at exposing youth to the world at large.
