Arielle Durant Signs with FIU
Arielle is Tenoroc’s first student athlete to sign a collegiate scholarship. Arielle is a senior at Tenoroc High School and is currently enrolled at Polk State College as a dual enrollment student. Arielle has been a student at Tenoroc since we opened our doors. Arielle is no stranger to hard work, team work and dedication. She is an honor student and a star athlete on the Lady Titans Varsity Basketball team. On November 11, 2009 Arielle signed a full 4 year basketball scholarship to Florida International University in Miami, FL estimated at $100,000. Arielle has been a leader here on the Tenoroc campus and will continue to be a leader in her endeavors. Arielle’s parents are Marcus & Rojina Durant and she has three siblings. THS Band
Congratulations to Alexis Huber, Jeremiah Kelly, and Andrew Strong for being selected for the 2009-2010 Polk All-County Band. They were selected based on their audition last week. This is a great honor for these 3 students.
Congratulations to Ashley Berry and Alexis Huber for being selected for this year’s FMEA All-State Small School Honor Band.
The Titan Marching Band did extremely well and gave their best performance of the year on Saturday, October 24th at the 2009 FBA Marching MPA! In the marching band's first ever outing for ratings, they walked away with straight "Excellent" ratings (the second highest rating given)!

Congratulations to Debron Branton and Jordan Goodrich for making the 2010 All State Chorus!
THS Orchestra
Congratulations to Jasmine Ford-Poe, Jennifer Chantharasinh, Wendi Callaway, and Ashley Garmon for being accepted into the all county orchestra. These students will perform with other selected musicians from around the county in February.
Wal-Mart Donates $1,000 to Boys Golf
Boys golf received a donation of $1,000 from Wal-Mart and presented Gary Kiger, Boys Golf Coach, with the check at our November 2nd Boosters meeting. Click here to view the picture. Senior Cap & Gown and Graduation Announcements
If you did not get your graduation cap & gown/announcement packet at the assembly on Thursday October 29th you can pick up one from Ms. Dunn Room 3-221 or Mrs. Sherred in Student Services. Josten’s will be back on campus to collect orders November 9 and 10 during all lunches. There is a $50.00 deposit due at time of the order. If you are having a financial struggle, please contact your guidance counselor. Prices will go up later, make sure to reserve your cap and gown NOW.
Teachers of English Honor Award
Diane Bondurant, English teacher with Tenoroc High School, has received the Florida Council of Teachers of English Honor Award. The honor award is given to a long-standing FCTE member who has given notable service to advance the teaching of the language arts.

$50 and $100 Bills No Longer Accepted
In an effort to reduce the circulation of counterfeit U.S. monies, the school district will no longer accept any $50 or $100 bills at any school-sponsored events. We apologize for any inconvenience, but ask that you support this initiative. Please plan accordingly when you attend our events. Thank you.
