Saturday Academy Celebration
On March 27, 2009, Tenoroc High School recognized students who attended Saturday Academy during the 2008-2009 school year. The Academy is a program founded by Mr. Joe to inspire students and prepare them for the FCAT tests through intensive reading, writing, and math activities and instruction.
Over 400 students were recognized at our celebration which included the following giveaways:
Locker magnets, colored pencils, markers, frames, die-cuts, watch, small stuffed animals, pens, large stuffed animals, locker shelves, picture frames, jerseys, t-shirts, hats, $10 and $15 dollar gift cards. These prizes were given to students that had only missed a few Saturdays.
IPod shuffles went to four students with perfect attendance (all 10 Saturdays), and medallions were given to the students with good attendance.
Additionally, students ate cupcakes and danced the afternoon away. Congratulations to all of our participants!
