8th Grade Policies & Expectations

Team Rules & Procedures 

 1.  Follow all 8^th grade rules. 

 2.  Comply with UA Dress Code.  Detention is given upon third violation. 

 3.  Line up outside of class, enter quietly.

 4.  Come to class prepared each day, this includes a reading book. (AR book)

 5.  No student will be allowed to leave his/her seat without permission.

 6.  Students must raise their hands and wait for permission to speak.

  7.  Students will work quietly on assignments, those who finish early may read silently.

 8.  Before dismissal, all books will be put away, all trash thrown out and all rows straightened.  Wait for the teacher to dismiss the class.

Homework/Bell work Guideline

 1.  All papers will have proper headings.

 2.  All work must be done on white notebook paper.

 3.  Work shall be done neatly and completely. 

 4.  No late work.  Make up work for excused absences only.

 Notebook Guidelines

 1.  Standard UA notebooks only.

 2.  Notebooks should be kept clean and orderly.

 3.  Each subject has its separate section.

 4.  Calendars should be filled in with assignments, tests, and project due dates.

 Parent/Teacher Correspondence

 1.  Progress Reports are sent home on Wednesdays and are to be signed and returned on Thursdays.

 2.  Communication forms and detention slips are to be signed and returned the following day.
