Welcome to Our Website
Welcome to the Valleyview Elementary website. Our website is here to
provide you with information as well as a means of communication.
We hope you enjoy exploring our website to learn why Valleyview is a school of excellence.
Established in 1991, Valleyview is located in the South Lakeland area known as "The Highlands." Our beautiful campus has gentle slopes, elegant pines and beautiful oaks.
Valleyview strives to meet the needs of all students. We serve grades kindergarten through 5th. We have added two VPK (voluntary pre-kindergarten) classes. We have maintained a grade of "A" as rated by the State of Florida since the inception of the program thirteen years ago.
In the fall of 2009, Valleyview initiated a dedicated science lab where students will explore, investigate and experience the "big ideas" in science. Valleyview showcases full-time art and music programs, as well as strings lessons for 5th graders. There are 3 computer labs, a computerized media center and a TV production studio. Various clubs are offered after school.

"Let's Go To The Movies"
Oscar Award season is here, so it only seems fitting that we celebrate with a carnival that sets the scene for a great day of movie fun for our students! The PTA is still in need of volunteers to help with booths during the event. Donations of canned drinks, Smarties, Tootsie Roll Pops, and Hershey Kisses are needed as well.
To volunteer, you can sign-up through your child's class or go to the PTA website (valleyview.my-pta.org), or contact Audrey McDowell at email@example.com

S.O.S. - SAVE OUR SHOES RECYCLING
This school year, the Alpha classes are again asking for students' help in collecting gently-used shoes that will be re-used around the globe for those in need. All paired shoes that are still usable (no holes, mildew, or water damage) will be accepted. Please do not send winter boots, skates/blades, flip-flops, or slippers. Students can place their donations in the collection bins on the stage in the pavilion. Let's start this year with our gently-used shoes on the right foot!
